When you mention or even utter the words exercise or workout most of us tend to head for the hills. It is like kryptonite to Superman. How many of us have or had a membership to the gym and rarely use it if at all? So many of us are in the same boat and it is usually the same reason, lack of substantial free time. Maybe you don’t have enough time to get in a really good workout and you are not seeing the results you desire. I am here to tell you that there is a way for you to get in a sufficient workout without the gym. Many people don’t think of housework as a workout but think about all effort that goes into simple housework. Burning calories essentially boils down to movement. Hopefully, you can break a sweat while you are doing all that moving around. You don’t have to get all gym sweaty but you do want to try and get a good sweat going. Movement alone helps your overall health anyway helping your muscles, joints, cardiovascular, and you’re mental. Besides that who really wants to be sitting around all day doing nothing like watching TV? Get up and move around, every little bit helps.
How Simple Housework Can Help Keep You in Shape
So we know washing the dishes can be a tedious task but it is a necessary one, a must-do and forget about the dishwasher. Use that time to work your upper body, your core, and stamina from all the standing. Wiping down the counters the refrigerator or whatever else needs a little love. It won’t hurt only help you twofold. Vacuuming or better yet if you do have carpet or area rugs pull out the broom and have at it.
Anyone who hasn’t swept a carpeted floor just wouldn’t how much work it is if you are doing it properly. Trust it is a great workout. If you have hardwood or smooth floors sweeping will still give you a good workout. I am pretty sure I don’t have to give a lesson in cleaning and housework although I could. When done correctly and actually using your muscles housework and cleaning can be one of the best everyday effortless workouts.
Imagine the workout you can get when you do a good deep house cleaning or as I like to call it a good cleansing. You know moving some heavy things around and resituating them. Giving you a chance to use your legs and lower body for a good workout. Not to mention rearranging your surrounding will likely provide a new perspective and outlook on the space you are using. So after all that hard work you can sit back relax and enjoy it in a new light. Being able to decompress, relax, and destress is also key to staying in shape physically and mentally. Just by giving yourself a cleaning and deep cleaning regimen can help you stay in shape. You are now on your way to doing everyday effortless workouts
Time To Have Fun – Go Outside and Play With The Kids! Its Exercise!
Anyone who has a family knows hows some days can get, very hectic sometimes and that is putting it nicely. So spending quality time with the kids can be limited. If you have kids young enough to take to the park or just go outside and play do it whenever possible. Try to fit it into your weekly routine, just one day a week can do wonders. A couple of hours a week just doing some sort of outside activity with the family.
The fresh air and sun depending on where you live are always sure to be a great mood enhancer. Let’s face you want your workout to be fun and productive. Most times a gym cant provide what you want or need all the time. Good thing we have family, friends, or any loved one we can go outside and get a Fun Stress Free Workout in. I’m just saying from young to old we can stay fit by doing everyday effortless workouts.
We don’t need to wait until the kids are older and we become empty nesters to get back in shape. But if that is the situation you happen to be in then great. You can still go outside and play with your grown kid. Toss or kick the ball around, or shoot some shots run and rebound, you don’t have to play a game. Just by you getting out there and staying mobile for a while will do a world of good. The real upside is spending quality time with your children young or old. It’s a Win-Win.
